Rainer Wieser is Founder and Managing Partner of atares GmbH, the digital M&A boutique for tech-driven mid-market companies. With more than 25 years in growth capital and tech transactions, he has advised on approximately 100 tech-heavy, asset-light deals ranging from growth rounds to succession buy-outs, typically in the €10-250 million range.
Rainer works in technology-driven industries. These can be technology companies or service providers that use relevant technologies. He also has particular experience in buy-and-build transactions, roll-over agreements, buy-side mandates and transaction financing.
Before founding atares (formerly Proventis Partners) in 2001, Rainer worked for a venture capital fund. The fund focued on early-stage tech investments.
