Zoltán Györkő
ex-Balabit, Angel Investor, Startup Hungary Chairman
Zoltán is the co-founder and exCEO of Balabit. He and his partners started the company in 2000. Balabit became a successful global vendor in enterprise cyber security software space. The company had customers in more than fifty countries, supported by about 100 reseller partners and had local offices in 8 countries.
Balabit raised growth capital from a UK venture firm in 2014 (8M USD) and was later acquired by Quest Software in 2018. Zoltán was awarded the E&Y Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year and the IT Manager of the Year Hungary.
After a successful integration of the businesses he left Quest at beginning of 2019.
Since then he is mentoring startup CEOs and sits on NGO boards like Rosa Parks Foundation and Startup Hungary. As a angel investor he is focused on B2B products.
